About the event
Burners Thames Weirs Session — a full day of coaching focused on big water and big wave paddling. These are dedicated skills development days designed to help paddlers thrive in powerful, playful conditions. Meeting location will be confirmed on the Thursday night before the session, based on current river levels. Please bring a packed lunch and be prepared to stay warm — full winter kit is recommended, especially for time spent wet on the water. The session will be led by Coach Sam and Coach Jacko, with a focus on building confidence, adapting to conditions, and learning to work with the wave. Final details will be shared on Thursday evening, once we’ve assessed conditions — so keep an eye on WhatsApp. These sessions are water-level dependent and may change location if required.
